The childhood of Pickler was not a smooth one. When Pickler was just 2, her mother ran away to avoid an abusive situation. Her mother returned in 1995 back to her home and was given complete control of her. It was, however, not an enjoyable time for her. The grandparents of Pickler raised her from the age of 12 to adulthood. Pickler could not be a parent to her children in their absence. Pickler admitted she didn't have time to go to classes and started to be a domestic worker from an early age. Pickler was on the middle and high school's cheerleading team.
