Pickler born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, had an unhappy childhood. At the age of two the mother of her fled from an abusive relationship. Her mother returned in 1995 back to her home and was given complete custody. However, things didn't work out as expected. Pickler, then 12, was returned to her parents by justices. They raised her till she was old enough to be an adult. Pickler was unable to parent her children in their absence. She stated that her time was limited and she learned how to look after the family from a very young time. Pickler was a member of her middle school and high school's cheerleading team. North Stanly High School was where Pickler graduated from in the year 2004. Pickler is also a beauty contestant. Her name was even a reference to Miss Stanly County.
